Dear father of Gary (Gar) Penhale, Kathy Penhale both of Exeter and Norma and Ken MacLeod of Port Elgin. Dear grandfather of Lia. Predeceased by his sisters Helen Kerr, Jean Ellerington and Shirley Colby and brothers Harry, Bill and James Penhale.
Friends are invited to a gathering at the Exeter Lions Den (old Scout hall) on 135 John Street West, Exeter on Saturday, December 3rd from 1-4 PM to celebrate Tom’s life. Cremation with interment Exeter Cemetery.

Elizabeth (Betty) Cornish

CORNISH, Elizabeth (Betty) – Quietly, on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at the Blue Water Rest Home in Zurich, in her 93rd year. Born in Wellingborough, England on February 20, 1919 to Major Richard and Marion Brown the first part of her life was devoted to the study and teaching of ballet and dance, culminating in the founding of the Kilburn School of Dance in 1937. In June 1944 she married Ralph Cornish of Elimville, Ontario, then stationed in England, After the war, they settled near Bayfield and in 1987 retired to Exeter. She is survived by her sons Victor S. Cornish, wife Geraldine and grandchildren Jennifer and Gwen of Langley, British Columbia; and C. Robert Cornish of Exeter, as well as may nieces and nephews, especially her dear niece Jennifer Hall of Pulborough, England.
The family wishes to thank the volunteers and staff at Blue Water Rest Home for making the last years of her life as comfortable and content as they were.
Cremation with a private family graveside service at Exeter Cemetery is planned for a later date.
Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated.

Dear father of Maria and Mark Piercy of Paris, Marjorie (Mary) and Zoran Dordevic of London, Nellie and Bill Boshart of Lucan, Agatha and Dave Feltz of Mitchell, Dinah and Jack de Groot of Bayfield and Terry and Charlotte Blok of Exeter. Dear grandfather of Andrea and Randy, Christopher and Sarah; Andrew, Sara and Jayme, Marco; Greg, Daryl, Kevin and Emma; Jason; Chad and Melissa, Alison, Benjamin, Sean; Heather, Erin; and great-grandfather of Casey, Liam, Noah, Luca, Marshall, Rowan, and Avery. Dear brother and brother-in-law of David and Sharon Passmore, Darlene and Bill Hooper and Barb and Dennis Rau all of Exeter; Ed and Stacey Masnica of Cumberland Beach, Connie and Kevin Elliott of Lucan, Patty Masnica and Klaus Jeromkin of Exeter, Rodney and Jill Masnica of Sebright. Dear son-in-law of Don and Joyce Masnica of Sebright. Step-father of Jamie Johns and Holly Vanier of Sebright. Dear uncle of many nieces, nephews, one great-niece and great-nephews. Also missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by his brother Dennis Passmore (1983), his parents Myrtle (Haist) Passmore-Pengelly (2011) and Almer Passmore (1968) and his step-father Gordon Pengelly (2009).
Dale worked at Parrish and Heimbecker, Centralia Branch for over 30 years.

Tragically, as the result of a motor vehicle collision on Friday, November 11th, 2011 of Lucan and in his 57th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Sherrie (Hinge) Simpson. Dear father of Jason and Jordan Simpson. Dear brother of Larry Simpson (Gwen) of Windsor. Predeceased by his parent James and Edythe Simpson, sisters Sharon and Nancy, brother-in-law Bill and sister-in-law Leslie. Loved son-in-law of Norm and Bonnie Goldie of Lucan and Wayne Hinge (Darlene) of St. Marys. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Ron worked for over 30 years at LHSC as charge painter, before retiring in 2007. Ron also leaves behind many longtime friends and coworkers.

Peacefully on Sunday November 6, 2011 with loved ones by his side, recently of Denfield and formally of London in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Frances (Bourne) Monk. Loving father to Audrey(Andrew) Monk of Poplar Hill, Mardy (Sam) Monk, Cindy (Scott) Robins, Heather (Michael) Monk, Sheila (Phil) Willer, David (Janice) Monk, Michael (Karen) Monk, Patricia (Chris) Chisholm, Kathy (Tom) Decoste all of London; Jamie (Debra) Monk of St Thomas; and Geriald (Cheryl) of Woodstock, predeceased by son Kevin. Dear brother to Ruth, Eileen, Rita, Joy and stepbrother Clifford. Predeceased by sisters Helen and Florence, brother Carl and step brother Patrick. Fondly remembered by grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Ken will fondly be cherished by many friends everywhere for his kindness, generosity and passion for life.
Ken was the owner/operator of Monk’s Auto Body formally of London and recently of Denfield and took pride in every car he worked on. Ken has had a passion for horses throughout his life so in lieu of flowers we ask donations be made to SARI Therapeutic Riding in Arva, Ontario in Ken’s name.
