Sorry to hear of the loss of your husband, father, and grandfather.

When I received the call of Tony’s passing, I started to reminisce of some of our great memories. Tony was a very important part of my life when I moved to Canada from the Netherlands, he gave me a place to stay when I worked in Clinton at Bartlif Bakery. We spent many hours working together in the fields and on the farm. I remember the time Tony and I had to take the 37 Dodge to town, and we had no money to buy antifreeze for the car, so Tony put water in the rad, but it was so cold it froze and the engine started to overheat and he kept driving until the car blew the motor. Needless to say we where without a car, and Mother Blok was not too happy. So, when the Blok family decided to move to Stevensville, young Piet in his wisdom followed them, and got a job and boarded with the Blok family where he met his wife Aafke Dehaan. We have been married 52 years now, and as we think back on those days we have many fond memories and are thankful to the Lord for the way he’s lead our lives. We hope and pray that the Lord will guide you Nel, and family, and strengthen you in the days ahead.

With Love, Piet & Evelyn Spyker

    To the entire family:
I was saddened to learn of Tony’s passing. He had been a long-time patient in my office and had plenty of struggles with his eyes and vision over the years but he always had a positive outlook and friendly manner. We will miss him!
