Peacefully, at the Exeter Villa on Thursday, July 29, 2010 of Exeter in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Melvin (Bob) Edwards (1992). Dear mother of Leroy and Cheryl Edwards of Exeter. Dear grandmother of Tara and Rob Russell of Exeter and Amy and Brad Roth of Tavistock and great-grandmother of Kennedi and Carter. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Russell and Susie Heaman of Weyburn, Saskatchewan and Charles and Margot Heaman of Ancaster. Predeceased by her sister Verna Heaman and brother Lloyd Heaman. Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 west of Main, Exeter on Sunday evening 7-9 PM where the complete funeral service will be held on Monday, August 2nd at 11 AM with Rev. Perry Lorne Knee

Knee, Perry Lorne.  A beautiful person passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2010 in his home in Centralia, surrounded by his loved ones in his 52nd year.   Perry will be forever missed but not forgotten by his wife Nina (Underhill), daughter Crystal Gawel and husband Ian of Milton, sons Ryan Knee of Cambridge and Justin Knee at home and his adoring grandson Porter.  The loss of a son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law and uncle are felt strongly by Percy Knee of Huron Park, Susan and Michael Underhill of Exeter, Sharon and Larry Gibson and Darlene and Bill Van Bergen all of Centralia, Wally Knee of Huron Park, Marion and Les Sherwood of Centralia, Tony Underhill and Terry and Dianne Underhill all of Exeter and their families.  With the love and support of his family, Perry has gone to rest with his mother Violet Knee (2006).  Perry believed in hard work and proved that every day.  He was very thankful to all his customers over the last 32 years who helped make Perry’s Drywall a success.  The family will honour the wishes of Perry and there will be no visitation.  If you wish, donations can be made to the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto.  To you Perry: “Amazing Grace…How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me!  I once was lost, but know am found, was blind, but now I see…”  We love you and will think of you everyday.

Peacefully, at Strathroy-Middlesex General Hospital, now singing with the heavenly choir, on Saturday, July 17, of Exeter in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Willem Van Amerongen (2000). Dear mother of Ron and Louise of Exeter, Dixie, Wayne and Avis all of London. Dear Oma of Juanita, Natalie and Adam, Kathleen and Shawn, Rachel and Isaac, Heather and Jordan. Great-Oma of Nicholas, Melanie, Boyd and Austin. Dear sister of Rita McKenzie of Exeter. Also remembered by her family in Holland. Predeceased by her daughter Jane (1956), a great-grandson Hunter Jaques, and her brother-in-law Joe McKenzie.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 20 at Bethel Reformed Church, 200 Huron Street East, Exeter, at 11 AM with Pastor Jim Vellenga officiating. Interment at the Exeter Cemetery.

At Seaforth Community Hospital on Sunday, July 4, 2010 of Exeter in his 64th year.  Beloved son of Leona (Coward) Hern of Exeter and the late Philip Hern.  Dear brother of Brian and Dianne Hern of  Stratford, Kathy and Gary Simpson of Exeter, Janet and Bill McKeown and Kevin and Kim Hern all of Georgetown and Gregory Hern of Kelowna.  Dear uncle of Paula and Mike, Kevin and Jen; Scott and Becky, Shaun; Rych, Lee and Adam and Kelsey and Jake and several great-nieces and great-nephews. 

Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 west of Main, Exeter, one hour prior to the memorial service which will be held on Wednesday, July 7th at 11 AM with Rev. Nancy Wetselaar officiating.  Cremation.

Peacefully, with his family by his side at LHSC Victoria Hospital on Saturday, July 3, of Lucan in his 46th year. Loving husband of Denise Laplante (Root). Adoring father to Caitlin. Beloved son of Ron and Marlene Laplante and son-in-law of Marlene Root all of London. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Cathy Cake and Graham Leigh of St. Marys, Steve and Alison Laplante, Wendy Mead and Garth Tanner and Anna Godoy all of London; Deb and Gary Taylor of London, Diane Winger of Ridgeway and Doug Root of London. Several nieces and nephews will miss their uncle Mike. A dear friend to Jason Clark, Cathy, Mike, Julia, David and Sean Haggarty. Predeceased by his father-in-law Edwin Root (1999) and brother in law Rick Winger (2009). Mike valued and loved his family and friends and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Through his passion for welding, Mike created gifts that will forever symbolize the hardworking, joyful, life-loving man we all knew and loved.
