Condolence From: Dawne Erb
My sympathy is sent to your family on the passing of a great father , grandfather & great grandfather. I enjoyed his stories of farming that he would tell me. It was an interesting time to see the interaction with him & other men of the area comparing notes on the good old days & recalling life’s many little pleasures. I will miss my visits with the Taylor family – we’ll have to try & keep in touch.

To Stewarts family:
We wish to convey our deepest sympathy in the loss of your dad and grandfather. He always had time to chat when you met him, and was passionate about his love for his horses. May God give him rest.

Condolence From: Katharine McEwen
When one thinks of honour, hard work, family, and fun, I can’t think of a better example than Stewart Theil. I’ll miss the many chats that we had and his great sense of humour. My sympathies go out to Ken, Jerry, Hub, Eunice and all their families.
Sincerely
Katharine McEwen

Condolence From: Elly (Lansbergen – Van Bergen) Dow
My brother Tony emailed me to tell me of Stewart’s passing. Sad news and yet 94 years – a good life! I have missed quick visits with Stewart since leaving the Varna-Goshen area. Whenever I officiated for the church services at the nursing home I always loved hearing him tell others quite proudly I thought that I used to be his neibhbour! My favourite memory of Stewart from my days back on the farm was the day he showed up just as we were pulling up a wagon of hay to the barn – it was the first load I had ever built and just as we were coming up to the barn yard, Stewart drove up, he looked at the load that was leaning badly and starting to slide, shook his head and said it’d never make it up the hill. My dad’s only comment was *@#**#***#*@* poor load and Stewart laughed agreed and asked who built that one???

A fine man – you will miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Elly

On behalf of my sister, Sandra and myself, I would like to extend our sincere sympathy to the Thiel family.
We remember Stewart as a good neighbour. We still have happy memories of the many hours playing at the Thiel farm when we were children.
