Perry Lorne Knee

Knee, Perry Lorne.  A beautiful person passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2010 in his home in Centralia, surrounded by his loved ones in his 52nd year.   Perry will be forever missed but not forgotten by his wife Nina (Underhill), daughter Crystal Gawel and husband Ian of Milton, sons Ryan Knee of Cambridge and Justin Knee at home and his adoring grandson Porter.  The loss of a son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law and uncle are felt strongly by Percy Knee of Huron Park, Susan and Michael Underhill of Exeter, Sharon and Larry Gibson and Darlene and Bill Van Bergen all of Centralia, Wally Knee of Huron Park, Marion and Les Sherwood of Centralia, Tony Underhill and Terry and Dianne Underhill all of Exeter and their families.  With the love and support of his family, Perry has gone to rest with his mother Violet Knee (2006).  Perry believed in hard work and proved that every day.  He was very thankful to all his customers over the last 32 years who helped make Perry’s Drywall a success.  The family will honour the wishes of Perry and there will be no visitation.  If you wish, donations can be made to the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto.  To you Perry: “Amazing Grace…How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me!  I once was lost, but know am found, was blind, but now I see…”  We love you and will think of you everyday.

Memorial donations can be made directly through https://secure.e2rm.com/registrant/donate.aspx?EventID=14391&LangPref=en-CA .  Please email info@haskettfh.com with your information (including a mailing address) so a card can be forwarded to the family in recognition of your donation.

Family is everything and as you all push through the next days and weeks always know that there are many in our community that are thinking of you all. Perry and I may have not spent as much time together recently as we used to but I can tell you that I have albums of memories in my head of the times that we shared. He was a great friend who would do anything for you and never expected anything in return. There was nothing that man couldn’t do and no challenge too big.As tough as he was I think we all believed he may win this battle but he gave so much in his time here that he fell short.Nina, the kids think so highly of both you and Perry for all your kindness over the years and will always hold Perry high on a pedestal as a person to be so lucky to be a part of.We will make sure that we carry his spirit with us through out our journey. Our thoughts are with you.

Condolence from Bill Hodge jr on July 28th, 2010 6:19 PM

Heres to an old friend that we’ll never forget, Perry’s a man that was close with our family. My family knew that if I was out with Perry I was in good hands, If me or someone else stepped out of line or said something wrong, you could always count on Perry saying something like; {Peter} don’t be so dumb; are you nuts; thats so dumb you’d be fired from D.I. Perry could be pretty up front and vocal, but also straightened you out before you got yourself into trouble. We’ll remember Perry for all the fun times we had together. He will be missed by our family and many others.
Our thoughts and prays are with you during this hard time.

Condolence from Jackie & Sam Reid on August 7th, 2010 8:20 AM

Words cannot express how we feel, and we can only imagine your sorrow. Perry had a real presence about him and you always knew when he was in a room. He worked hard and was devoted to his family, he will really be missed. Rest in peace Perry with your mom.

Condolence from Ian Fowles on August 16th, 2010 1:44 PM

Thoughts are with Perry’s family. Although I haven’t seen Perry & Nina since we were all very young, it is still very sad to hear of Perry’s passing far too soon.

Ian
