Peacefully, at her home in Exeter, after a courageous battle with Alzheimers, on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 in her 81st year. Cherished wife of Alan R. Horton for 61 years. Loving mother of Larry and France of Port Sydney and loving mother and best friend of Kathy and her husband Guenter of London. Dear grandma of Cheryl and Tyler. Beloved sister of Jim and Brenda Hennessey of Exeter and Pat Hennessey of Chatham and sister-in-law of Margie Hennessey of Harrow. Predeceased by her parents Leo and Vi Hennessey and her brother Jack.
At Jean’s request, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place.

Peacefully, in his sleep, at the end of a “great day”, at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Monday, September 26, 2011 of Ilderton and formerly of RR 1 Denfield in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Dorothy (Knapp) McRae for 62 years. Dear father of Doug and Brenda McRae of Port Dover, Ron and Linda McRae of RR 1 Denfield, Marjorie and Paul Johnson of London, Barbara and Larry McGill of RR 4 Glencoe, Bill Thomas and Laurie and Brent Fowles all of Ilderton. Dear grandfather of 24 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Also missed by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his daughter Mary Beth Thomas, sister Jessie Mackie, brother Ian McRae and infant brothers Ronald and Kenneth.
Murray was Past President and Director of the Ilderton Fair Board, Past President of Quality Swine, a long-time member of Vanneck United Church, 1949 Graduate of University of Guelph, a permanent member of the OAC Alumni Association and the Ontario Agriculture Hall of Fame Association. Murray’s family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the nursing staff at the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital.

Dear grandmother of James Jr. Beloved daughter of Carl Weber of Walkerton and the late Irene (Rhody) Weber. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Elaine and Bernie Zacher of Walkerton, Wayne Weber and Sandy Mabon of Goderich, Judy and Jim Sloan of Walkerton and Jeannie Hedley of Kinlough. Precious daughter of Charles and Lynn Fortner of Denfield. Treasured sister of Michelle and Joshua Rinehart of Rankin, Texas, Allan Fortner and Amanda Wells of Arva and Meredith Fortner of Toronto. Much loved daughter-in-law of Marilyn Lausch of London and Wolfgang Lausch of Innisfil. Dear granddaughter of Bert and Connie Scarborough of Ilderton. Dear sister-in-law of Anthony Lausch of London. Mourned by her aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her grandparents Richard and Bernice Fortner and Beverley Scarborough. Kim will be remembered for her dedication, passion, selflessness and true concern for those around her.

Beloved husband of Wibbina (Bylsma) Toonk. Cherished father of Angela Toonk and her fiancé Anthony Nyman of Exeter, Kim Toonk of London and friend Kyle Vermeulen and Debra Toonk of Exeter and friend Auzair Tak. Missed by his mother-in-law Pietje Bylsma of Seaforth Manor, brothers and sisters-in-law Jim and Theresa Brand of Dashwood, Auke and Chris Bylsma of Blyth, John and Ruby Bylsma of Thorndale, Terry and Anne Kaastra of Holmesville, John and Cory Kuipers of Goderich, Dave and Pat Brodie of Brucefield, many nieces and nephews and step-brothers and sisters-in-law. Predeceased by his parents Dirk Jan Toonk and Johanna (Leeuwestein), his sister Gertrude Jacques, step-father Arie Leeuwestein, father-in-law Wobbe Bylsma and Hank Leeuwestein.

It is with great sadness that we share the sudden passing of Thomas Charles Bowen in his 60th year on Saturday, September 10th, 2011. Beloved husband and best friend of Joanne. Incredible dad and fishing buddy of Jeff and Leah. Loving, and of course, spoiling grandpa to his “girlie girls” Grace and Emily Bowen and treasured “special son” of Edith Brintnell. Tom is also survived by his two brothers and their families: Kevin and Jacqueline of Kemptville and Keith and Bonnie and nephews Matthew and Steven of New Hamburg. He will be forever remembered as a dear brother-in-law to Diane and the late Chuck Vallee and the late Susan Burns. Adored “Uncle Tommy” of Curt and Karen, Cori and Shelly and a “great” great uncle to Kaitlyn, Avery and Brendan all of Windsor. Predeceased by his parents Ken and Betty Bowen and his in-laws Ken and Grace Cole. Tom touched many hearts both at home in Exeter and at his beloved cabin retreat on the Bruce, he will be missed. Tom was a retired Diagnostic Imaging Technologist having worked at South Huron Hospital for twenty-five years.

Dear father of David Myall (Karen) of Thorndale and Barry Myall (Julie) and Doug Myall (Linda) all of London. Dear grandfather of Evelyn; Gwendolyn, Genevieve; and Becky. Dear brother of Connie Mechalka, Velma Scully and Chester Myall. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his granddaughter Andrea Myall. At Jim’s request, his body has been donated to medical science.
There will be a private family service at the Haskett Funeral Home, Lucan. Cremation with interment at a later date at Medway Cemetery, Middlesex Centre.

Marie, Jeanene and Clare Hayter of Clinton and Don Cadogan of London. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Barb Cadogan (2008), her brother Kenneth Tucker (2003), sister-in-law Beth Tucker (2011) and her parents Elsie and John Tucker.

We will always be available to assist with completing a donations card at the funeral home. For anyone who is out of town or unable to make it to a visitation or funeral, there is now the option to complete this online.
You may also find it helpful to place a card through our website, from your home and drop off your cheque at the funeral home when you arrive for visitation or the day of the funeral.
