It is with great sadness that we share the sudden passing of Thomas Charles Bowen in his 60th year on Saturday, September 10th, 2011. Beloved husband and best friend of Joanne. Incredible dad and fishing buddy of Jeff and Leah. Loving, and of course, spoiling grandpa to his “girlie girls” Grace and Emily Bowen and treasured “special son” of Edith Brintnell. Tom is also survived by his two brothers and their families: Kevin and Jacqueline of Kemptville and Keith and Bonnie and nephews Matthew and Steven of New Hamburg. He will be forever remembered as a dear brother-in-law to Diane and the late Chuck Vallee and the late Susan Burns. Adored “Uncle Tommy” of Curt and Karen, Cori and Shelly and a “great” great uncle to Kaitlyn, Avery and Brendan all of Windsor. Predeceased by his parents Ken and Betty Bowen and his in-laws Ken and Grace Cole. Tom touched many hearts both at home in Exeter and at his beloved cabin retreat on the Bruce, he will be missed. Tom was a retired Diagnostic Imaging Technologist having worked at South Huron Hospital for twenty-five years.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 west of Main, Exeter on Wednesday, September 14th from 9:30-10:30 AM where a celebration of Tom’s life will be held at 11 AM with Bob Heywood officiating. Cremation with inurnment Exeter Cemetery.
Donations to the South Huron Hospital Foundation gratefully appreciated by the family.

I have many memories of the diagnostic imaging dept. at SHH through Bill’s eyes and I expect Bill and Tom are together now reminicing old times. While life does go on with the help of family and friends and especially grandchildren, losing your life partner is a very, very difficult loss to bear. Dear Bowen and Vallee families,
I was shock to hear of Tom’s sudden passing. My thoughts are with you all. Although I would only see Joanne and Tom at the Windsor family functions or with Diane I feel like I know Tom a little better than most might think. Diane often speaks dearly of “Tommy”. Whether it be about taking Kaitlyn to the movies, his love of Castle, or just things like how impressed he was by the blue lights on Diane’s toaster.
I know he will be missed by many…take care…your in my thoughts.
