Dear father of Marian Smibert of RR #3 Ilderton and her friend Dan McCann of Mount Carmel and Marjorie Barton of Ballymote. Dear grandfather of Michael and Adrienne Barton and Jason and Stephanie Barton  and dear great-grandfather of Hailey.  Dear brother of Willard and Cora Smibert of RR #3 Ilderton. Predeceased by his parents Wilfrid and Margaret Smibert, a brother William, a sister Patricia Logan and a son-in-law Roy Barton. Beloved husband of Vicki (Nolan) Guertin. Dear father of Sharon Evans and Ken Wallace of Pine Lake. Dear grandfather of R.J. Evans, Scott Evans and Richelle Baker. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Leo and Nora Guertin, Margaret Heath and her companion Ivan all of Toronto, Claudette and Bill, Jerry Guertin and his companion Janet all of Blind River and Helen Guertin of Elliott Lake. Predeceased by a brother Roland and a sister Gloria and her husband James Allway. Cremation with private family arrangements. Suddenly, at Queensway Nursing Home, Hensall on Sunday, June 24, 2007 Charles (Charlie) Atthill formerly of Exeter in his 74th year.  Beloved husband of Mavis (McBride) Atthill.  Dear father of Steven and Eda Atthill of Thamesford, David and Dolly Atthill of Exeter and Brent Atthill and Deb Manders of Waukesha, Wisconsin.  Dear grandfather of Eric, Shawn and Marisa; and Tess and Brenna.  Dear brother and brother-in-law of Bernie Laffrenere of Algoma Mills, Ilyne Muscroft of  St. Albert. Heinrich (Henry) Drachenberg

Passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at Grand River Hospital, Freeport Health Centre, Kitchener on Thursday, June 14, 2007.  Heinrich (Henry) Drachenberg of Kitchener and formerly of Riverview Estates, Exeter in his 86th year.  Beloved husband of the late Mary Drachenberg (2002).  Dear father of Keith and (Mavis) of Toronto and Margarete of Vancouver.  Dear grandfather of Andrea and Darren.  Dear brother of Freida Roper of Germany and brother-in-law of Martha Drachenberg of Oakville and Erna Drachenberg of Edmonton. Dear friend of Lisa Olssen of Kitchener.  Predeceased by brothers Eric and Edmund and a sister Martha.  Henry will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a man devoted to family and friends, many of whom he met through his involvement and passion for lawn bowling which he undertook with a great deal of enthusiasm. He will be sadly missed but so fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.  Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service for Henry on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467.  Cremation.  Haskett Funeral Home, Exeter (519-235-1220) entrusted with arrangements.   In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Henry’s name.

At South Huron Hospital, on Monday, June 4, 2007 Carol Rose (Prophet) Powe of RR 1 Exeter passed into her Lord’s arms in her 49th year.  Beloved wife of Alan Powe.  Loving mother of Lindsay, Carrington, Morgan and Candace all at home.  Dear daughter of Phyllis Prophet of Orillia and daughter-in-law of Elmer Powe of Centralia.  Dear sister and sister-in-law Olean Chlystyk of Gravenhurst, Ruth and Bill Mould of Coldwater, Iris and Larry Roe of Orillia, Mary and Earl Pierson of Waterloo, Dave and Jean Prophet of Midhurst, Jim and Penny Prophet and Paul and Tammy Prophet all of Barrie, Elaine and Bruce Brandon of Uxbridge and Marie and Ron Brittain of Markham.  Carol will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.  Predeceased by her father Harold Prophet, brother John Prophet and mother-in-law Etta Powe.  Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 west of Main, Exeter on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.  The funeral service will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Highway #4 at Kirkton Road on Thursday, June 7th at 1:30 PM with Pastor Scott Stein officiating.  Interment Exeter Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to consider donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
