I am so very sorry to hear of Bob’s passing way too soon. The Mannings have played such a vital role in the community for generations and I know Bob was right in there with anything Ilderton.

My parents were friends with Bob’s parents Frank and Jean for years and the rest of the family. From 4H to fall fairs to Good Friday sales to him being there in times of tragedy for my family. Bob’s presence, calm nature and strength was always there for anyone in the community.

Bob, the Manning name will be carried well into the future from JR to Mr Sam.

Rest easy my friend, say hi to your parents for us and enjoy the view of your beautiful family from heaven. You will never be forgotten and your legacy and stories will be told forever

Dear Nancy, JR, Colleen and families,
Your dad worked with my family for years; you brought so many good laughs to the barn every morning and to the dinner table each day! We were all so delighted to be invited to your wedding and reception, none more than my little sister who really joined in with the glass clinking…only to learn that that tradition wasn’t just for the bride and groom!
Over the years, Ilderton Fair has become a heart-warming reunion for so many families. Those folks associated with the barn activities, especially the beef sections, 4-H shows, and the pie auction will dearly miss your presence and they way you made every one feel who greeted you. We hope your loss and grieving will be made better by recalling the many wonderful stories about your life partner and dad.

Uncle Bob will forever be close to my heart. He was always there in times of need with a should for support or words of wisdom. His vibrant personality always entered a room before he did. He was never the star of the show, but always a reassuring presence in the background.

Aunt Nan, JR, Chelsey & families; I wish you peace as you navigate this leg of your journeys.
Fond memories are planty & those we shall all cherish!

Nancy, JR and family, Chelsey, Jon and Taylor,
My deepest sympathy to you all. I have always enjoyed my chats and visits with Bob. I am going to miss the teasing that went on between us that always ended up with us both laughing. Bob had the biggest heart. It won’t be the same placing my egg order on Sunday morning at the fireman’s breakfast at the Ilderton Fair. I asked every year for a poached egg and he, every year, had a different comment or facial expression for me. He will be missed!

    BOBBY!

WHO is going to be last at the fire!?

We will miss you buddy… and the community has lost a huge contributor. Trucking for kids and countless other great causes where you gave back.

A man’s legacy is in his family, and I can’t think of a family who is always there for a community event (most times with their sleeves rolled up), more than the Mannings.

Till we meet again Bobby: Be good and get the cart charged up… Em will want to go for a ride.

    Love you
Jackie & Scott Moir and Family
