Our deepest sympathy to the Hern family. Gord was a very good man. Everybody liked Gord Hern. He had such a personable personality and ease about him. Our family first met Gord as a young man in the mid-1970’s Ailsa Craig, Ontario. I always thought he looked like the Hollywood actor Peter Fonda. What a tragic loss. There are just simply good people in our lives who will never leave us even after they are gone. Rest in peace Gord โค

    To Gordโ€™s family:
Saddened to hear of Gordieโ€™s death.
He was a great neighbor to have on the Hern Line and my parents always felt highly of him. Although I had not seen much of Gord these last few years, I do remember growing up on the Hern Line with many other Hern cousins and seeing Gord around at our community events ….. a friendly, happy guy with a big smile. And my Dad enjoyed his pop-in visits after Mom died.
My condolences to you all on losing Gord.
Sincerely Nancy Price (Hern) …… Lucan

I was so sorry to here of Gord’s passing. He was always great to chat with and always had a smile on his face. I do remember one time when I put my car in the ditch right outside of his place and he came out to see if I needed any help. Seeing who I was he laughted and said “Oh you’ll be good, your dad will be coming.” And started to walk away! He did come back laughing. He stayed with me till they got my car out teasing me that I needed a truck with 4×4. They are proaby right. He will be remembered and greatly missed on Hern Line.
