It is with heavy hearts we announce our mothers passing on Sunday, January 11, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 83. Betty went on to be with her late husband Jim Glew (2007) and her Lord & Savior.
Betty was born in Coppercliff, ON Sept 28th 1942 to Hugh & Winnifred McPhail (Heale). Survived by sisters Pat Langlois (George) & twin sister Mary Lou Bradshaw. Cherished mother to Mary Lynn Shaw (Jeff) & Rob Glew (Angie). Grandmother to Sean (Heather), Nicole (Marc), Jesse (Shelby Rae), Kelsey (Max), Jacob (Kaeden), & Angus (Kelsey) & great-grandmother to Willow, Jolene, Elijah, Emma, Everleigh, Bella, Desare, Jaxson, Jemma, Aurora, Allister, Quinn, Oliver, Opal, Grace, & Emberly. Dear aunt to Susan (Bill), Tracey Lynn (John), Pam (Roy), Kendra (Frank), Lisa, Martin, & Ryan. Also survived by brother-in-law Ken Nichols & sister-in-law Cathy Andreassi. Close to Mom’s heart were Richard & Helen Harris (Betty’s spaghetti), Diane Shaw, Mark Muir, Zach Tremblay, & John Holland. Also the best, most caring neighbour anyone could have, Grace Wiggins. Predeceased by niece Angelee Andreassi, nephews Jim & Steven Nichols, sisters-in-law Carole Nichols, Nancy Andreassi, & Connie Becker, and her brothers-in-law Angelo Andreassi, & John Becker.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life and graveside service for Betty will be held in the spring. Please check back for service details.
