It is with heavy hearts we announce our mothers passing on Sunday, January 11, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 83. Betty went on to be with her late husband Jim Glew (2007) and her Lord & Savior.
Betty was born in Coppercliff, ON Sept 28th 1942 to Hugh & Winnifred McPhail (Heale). Survived by sisters Pat Langlois (George) & twin sister Mary Lou Bradshaw. Cherished mother to Mary Lynn Shaw (Jeff) & Rob Glew (Angie). Grandmother to Sean (Heather), Nicole (Marc), Jesse (Shelby Rae), Kelsey (Max), Jacob (Kaeden), & Angus (Kelsey) & great-grandmother to Willow, Jolene, Elijah, Emma, Everleigh, Bella, Desare, Jaxson, Jemma, Aurora, Allister, Quinn, Oliver, Opal, Grace, & Emberly. Dear aunt to Susan (Bill), Tracey Lynn (John), Pam (Roy), Kendra (Frank), Lisa, Martin, & Ryan. Also survived by brother-in-law Ken Nichols & sister-in-law Cathy Andreassi. Close to Mom’s heart were Richard & Helen Harris (Betty’s spaghetti), Diane Shaw, Mark Muir, Zach Tremblay, & John Holland. Also the best, most caring neighbour anyone could have, Grace Wiggins. Predeceased by niece Angelee Andreassi, nephews Jim & Steven Nichols, sisters-in-law Carole Nichols, Nancy Andreassi, & Connie Becker, and her brothers-in-law Angelo Andreassi, & John Becker.
Special thanks to Dr Kluz & Staff & Keatings Pharmacy for their endless support. To Care Partners, the best kept secret in heathcare support. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. To Becca, Armina, Isabelle & Julie for your exceptional care & support for Betty & family. You made this so much easier for us all. To Haskett Funeral Home for their care & kindness to our mother & our family.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life and graveside service for Betty will be held in the spring. Please check back for service details.

My dear friend Betty I know how you loved your family, your furry babies too. I will miss our good times we had going out on adventures and playing bingo etc together.
Cancer sucks !! I know you went through a lot. You often told me that when it was your time to go you were not afraid. So my dear friend Rest in peace.
To all the family and friends, my sympathy. For many years Betty lived just around the corner and was a friendly face in the neighbourhood. Sorry for your loss.

So sorry Pat to hear about your sister! I lost my only sister in November, it’s a lost feeling! You have my condolences and prayers!
My thoughts and prayers are with the Glew family. I was neighbours with Betty and Jim years ago when my mom and brother and I lived next door. She had a long continuing fight but now she is at peace with Jimmy again. Rest in peace Betty.
