Suddenly, as the result of a motorcycle collision on Sunday, September 26, 2010 of Exeter in his 25th year.  Loving companion and best friend of Sarah Wilson.  Dear father of Halie and Logan.  Beloved son of Suzanne Davis of Exeter and Mike Davis of Grand Bend.  Dear grandson of Hugh Davis of Centralia and the late Hazel Davis and the late Leonard and Dorothy Dietrich.  Dear brother and brother-in-law of Crystal and Bryon Ellerington of Centralia, Travis Davis and Amanda Paff of Lucan and Starr Davis and Kenzie Currie of Exeter.  Loving uncle of Audrey and Christopher Ellerington. 

Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 west of Main, Exeter on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM (Casual Dress).  The funeral service will be held at Trivitt Memorial Anglican Church, 264 Main Street South, Exeter on Wednesday, September 29th at 11 AM .  Interment Exeter Cemetery.

Douglas Edward Sillery

With profound sadness, the family of Doug Sillery announce his passing at Victoria Hospital, London on Saturday, September 25, 2010 formerly of Usborne Township in his 70th year. Loved father of Darlene and Mike Stewart of Kirkton and Steven and Beate Sillery of Exeter. Dear grandfather to Carly and Kaycee Stewart and Reeze Sillery. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Alma Davey of Exeter, Dorcas Wein-Majury and Glen of Southampton, and Patricia and Emil Hendrick of Exeter. Remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents Edward (1969) and Laura (Govier) (2009) Sillery, and brothers-in-law Donald Davey (1986) and Calvin Wein (1989).

Peacefully, at Craigwiel Gardens, Ailsa Craig on Thursday, September 16, 2010 formerly of Crediton in his 86th year.  Beloved husband of Lois (Sawyer) Hodgins.  Dear father of Glenn and Grace Hodgins of Crediton, Mary Hodgins of Ailsa Craig, June and Gerry Glavin of Centralia and Mona and Dwayne Ritchie of Parkhill.  Dear grandfather of 16 and great-grandfather of 17.  Dear brother of  Norma and Doug Parsons of Exeter.  Dear brother-in-law of Marian and Walter MacDougald of Stratford, Fern and Bill Dougall of Exeter and Tom and Nancy Sawyer of Freelton.  Predeceased by an infant daughter Lenore, his parents Roy and Blanche Hodgins, sister Eileen and her husband Ron Peterson and an infant brother Gerald.

Dear brother of David McFalls of Centralia, Don and Brenda McFalls of Lucan and Donna and Walter Brasca of Mississauga. Dear uncle of Benjamin, Nicholas and Matthew McFalls and Anthony, Dylan, and Thomas Brasca. Friend of Theresa Allen of Middlesex Centre.

Predeceased by a brother Paul Kopal, a sister Mary Lorenowicz and brothers-in-law Paul Trnka and Wally Lorenowicz.

Carol Anne (Benn) Maslen

After a long and couragous battle, at her late residence, on Friday, September 10, 2010, of Lucan in her 57th year. Dear mother of Stephen Maslen and Jaime Adams, Kathleen Maslen and Derek McNulty all of Lucan and Kellie Maslen of Elmvalle. Beloved daughter of Bernard and Marian Benn of RR#3 Lucan.Dear sister and sister-in-law of Pat and Carol Benn of Lucan, Jim and Ana Benn of Mississauga, Mary Benn-Jones and Dave Jones of Orangeville. Survived by Bernice Maslen and her family. Carol will also be sadly missed by her special friend Rick Johnston, her cousin Patti, her VON friend Kim, by all of her friends at Murphy Bus Lines and the Beech Street Apartments and by  her “grandson” Jesse (the dog).

Magda (Rusmussen) Christensen

Peacefully, at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on September 1, 2010 of Craigwiel Gardens, Ailsa Craig and formerly of Ilderton in her 88th year.  As big as her heart was, in the end, it was that which failed her.  Beloved wife of Ejgil (Ike) Christensen.  Loving mother of Kathy Christensen of London and Chris and Janine Christensen of Ilderton.  Doting grandmother of Karima, Jackson and Dylan.  Dear sister of Eva Andersen of Denmark.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins in Denmark.  Predeceased by her parents Niels and Albertine Rasmussen, her brothers Aage, Aksel and Holger and her sisters Elna, Ester, Olga, Mitte and Helga.  Magda was born March 28, 1923 in Denmark and came to Canada in 1955.  She married her husband Ejgil in London on December 1, 1962. 

The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Craigwiel Gardens for their care and support of Magda, as well as the nurses and staff at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital for keeping Magda comfortable at the end.
