I have never known someone with as much courage and kindness as your mother. She always made me feel like a welcomed guest in her home, laughed at any joke I made no matter how bad, and had a wonderful view of life.

I am here/there for you anytime — it is the very least I can do for such good friends and the memory of a great lady. I am so thankful I got to spend some time with her…Cheers, S

To the Maslen and Benn Families
Although I am out of the country, I wanted to express my heartfelt sympathy for the loss of such a wonderful woman. Carol was a great neighbor and friend. I have never met a woman more courageous than Carol with all that she had to endure. In my heart I know she is now at peace and free from pain.

I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers, and may it be of some comfort to know, that she will never be forgotten as she will live in our hearts forever.

Condolence from Courtney Hubley on September 11th, 2010 11:02 AM

To my friends, Kate, Deek, Steve and Jaime (and Jessie) –

I am so very sorry for your loss. It has truly been an honour and a delight to get to know Carol. Despite the struggles, she remained strong, upbeat and full of grace til the very end. She welcomed us into her home on so many occasions and treated me like a part of your family and I am so grateful that all of you came into my life. I was blessed to have known Carol and be able to also call her a friend. I will treasure our final “jam session” forever – getting to sing and laugh with her means so much at a time like this.

Kate: You are the very best friend anyone could ever ask for – and I certainly wouldn’t have you without Carol so for that I am even more grateful and sad to see her go. You are your mother’s daughter and I know she is so proud of the person you are and the person you will continue to become. I am here for you always- night or day.

Love always and our deepest condolences –
Courtney Hubley & Patrick Schneppendahl (and the cats)

Bernard, Marion and family….

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. It is never easy at a time like this as we all know to well. I spoke with Carol a couple of months ago at Dr. Cameron’s office and she seemed so full of life even then. She never let you know about the bad days or the pain. She always put on a happy face and was so brave throughout her sickness. Cherish her memories she has left behind for no one can ever take those from you. Remember her in rainbows. She has now received her angel wings and will be at peace with all.
