ZAHN: It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael “Mike” Lynn Zahn, age 53, of RR 2, Grand Bend at 3 a.m. Wednesday, August 29th, 2007 at London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital. Peacefully with family and friends by his side Mike ended his long and courageous battle following transplant. Beloved husband of Anita (Van den Eynde) Zahn. Loved father of Kevin Zahn and Julianna Zahn, both at home. Cherished son of Anna (Pipoli) Zahn of RR 2, Grand Bend. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Gary and Wendy Zahn of London, Catherine Zahn-Balair of Mattawa, Miriam and Bryan Gardner of Aurora, Darlene and Lawrence “Red” Maxfield of Forest, Edwin and Mary Van den Eynde of Petrolia. Remembered by his nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by father Martin Keith Zahn Sr. (1998), brother Keith Zahn Jr. (1997) and infant sister Lenora Zahn (1941). Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Friday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Parish prayers at the funeral home Friday evening at 8:45 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Grand Bend, Saturday, September 1, 2007 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Father Peter Keller Celebrant. Interment Woodland Cemetery, London, Tuesday September 4, 2007 at 11 a.m. We wish to express a heartfelt thank you for the caring support of the transplant doctors and nursing staff.
