WEST: At South Huron Hospital, Exeter, Monday, May 23, 2011, Helen Eva (Gill) West of Grand Bend, age 87. Loved mother and best friend of her children Robert West of Florida and Melanie West of London. Predeceased by her former husband Edward John “Ted” West (1995), sisters Ella Patterson, Edna Noonan, Irene Gill, Joan Leigh, Phyllis Hanlon, brothers Hector, Alden, Stanley, William “Billy” Gill, parents Harmon and Eva (Gravelle) Gill. Fondly remembered by nephew Ron Noonan of Oakville, brother-in-law David Leigh of Guelph, her many nieces, nephews and their families. Cremation has taken place. A Graveside Interment Service will be held at the Grand Bend Cemetery, Friday, July 29, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Harry Disher officiating. Reception to follow at the Grand Bend Legion. Helen graduated as a Registered Nurse from Victoria Hospital in London and worked for many years as a member of the Huron County Health Unit out of South Huron Hospital, Exeter.
