Peacefully at Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock with her family by her side on Thursday, March 31, 2022 formerly of Hensall, and Zurich, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Lorne Weiberg (2020). Cherished mother of Bryon and Sue Hughes, Sam and Nancy Hughes, Jim and Val Hughes all of Woodstock, and Katrina Vanspronson and Roger Beausejour of Chatham, Mildred and the late Gerald (1980) Northcott, Phyllis and Fred Mommersteeg all of Exeter, the late Alvin (2015) and Marion Weiberg of Thamesville, Wilma Telford of Bayfield, and Sandra and Gary Taylor of London. Adored grandma of 23 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 5 great, great-grandchildren. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Bill Howe, Shirley and Ken Mitchell, Betty and Ken Bonney, Ed Howe, Wayne Howe, Pat and Mike Yates, and Mary and Ernie Szabo. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Leonard and Mary (Pye) Howe, son-in-law Tom Humphreys, brother Tom Howe and sisters-in-law Rosie and Shirley Howe.
Marie always had a love for her pets. She cherished her time with all of her grandchildren over the years. Marie was proud of her gardens and loved her African violets.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 49 Goshen Street North, ZURICH on Tuesday, April 5th from 12:30 -1:30 PM, where the funeral service will be held at 2 PM. Interment St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Zurich. Registration is required and appreciated to attend the visitation. To register, please click “Register Now” below.
