WATSON: Mark of Zurich *Updated

Unexpectedly at South Huron Hospital, Exeter surrounded by the love of his family on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at the age of 52. Soul mate, best friend and loving husband of Andrea (Hendrick) Watson for 28 years married and 37 years together. Very proud dad of Leighton Watson and Lindsey Ruston, and Gracie Watson and Dylan Vanderaa. Fondly remembered by his dogs Lenny Fernando, and Mr. Max. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Paula and Dave Eagleson (Justin, Dylan, Gavin), Jon and Melissa Hendrick (Wyatt, and Maia), Julie Hendrick, and Leeanne VanSnick. Survived by his mother Janice MacPherson, and parents-in-law Bob and Linda Hendrick. Dearly missed by his close cousin Adam Cole.

Mark will be remembered for the impact he made on people; he was a proud father figure to not only his children but many people who came into his life. He was a lover of Hot Wheels and has collected thousands of them over the years with a dedicated room in their home. On long weekends, he could be found camping with his family, sipping an ice-cold Captain Morgan. Above all, he cherished the moments with his family; Andrea, Leighton, and Gracie were his pride and joy.

Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Monday, January 13th from 2 โ€“ 4 and 6 โ€“ 8 PM. A celebration of Markโ€™s life will be at 72922 Blind Line, ZURICH on Saturday, June 21st from 1 – 4 PM. Let’s get together to share memories, love, laughter and a drink in Mark’s honour.

Donations to Toys for Tots in memory of Mark would be appreciated by the family.

    Andrea, Leighton and Gracie.
Words are tough some days. Although Mark and I lost touch over the years, I can not express how grateful I am we were able to reconnect over the past few years. Even if it was hotwheels that brought our friendship back together. I know the same conversation happened in our house,
“Who are you chatting with now?” “Oh just Mark” “Surprise Surprise”. ๐Ÿ˜Š I will still find myself hunting for that next car Mark is looking for. No matter the reason we reconnected, I am forever grateful and will sorely miss his humor, his laugh and his kindness. RIP and Cheers my friend.

    Greg and Carrie.

At some point, your world will stop moving in slow motion and the air will return to your lungs, but not any time soon. Mark was an epic guy. The big smile, the bigger sarcasm, the enormous love. Mark was an amazing co-worker and friend. He had a great sense of humor and made our work time together more enjoyable. Even after Mark moved on to a new job he still would text me to tell me to have a good day and to “f…off” which always made my day. Mark was 100% about his family and to them I feel their loss. He will be missed by everyone he knew and lives he touched.
