WALPER: Peacefully at Blue Water Rest Home, Zurich, on Sunday, November 4, 2018, Mervyn Earl Valentine Walper formerly of Grand Bend, age 83. Beloved husband of Audrey Mary Ann (Logie) (Mantz) Walper of Grand Bend. Father and father-in-law of Terry Walper of Exeter and Arlene and John Oosterwal of Ailsa Craig. Grandfather of Wayne Walper, Craig Walper, Lucas Walper, Kyle Oosterwal and Kristin Oosterwal. Remembered by his step-son Bryan Mantz of Centralia and step-granddaughter Desiree Watson. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Evelyn John of Windsor, Jean and Hielke Berends of Hensall, Norma Walper of Grand Bend and Joanne Walper of Varna. Remembered by his nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents George and Marine (Devine) Walper, brothers Lloyd Walper, Willis Walper, sister Gladys Peck, sister-in-law Elva Walper, brothers-in-law Harold Peck and George John and step-daughter Patrica Mantz. At Mervyn’s request, cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held at this time. Interment Grand Bend Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood. If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
