
WALPER: Unexpectedly, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, Donald “Don” William Walper of Grand Bend, age 81. Loved father of Kevin Walper (Lisa) of Mount Brydges, Kimberly (Allan). Loved grandpa of Emily (Nick), Bradley (Faith), and Amanda (Ron). Remembered by his long time friend Sharon Lagerwerf and the Desjardine families. Predeceased by his parents Lloyd & Elva (Stebbins) Walper and his step-mother Norma (Jennison) (Desjardine) Walper. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with Visitation, on Thursday, April 03, 2025 from 5 to 7 pm. A Private Family Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, April 04, 2025. Mr. Steve Stellingwerff Officiating. Interment Grand Bend Cemetery. If desired Memorial donations (payable direct) to Jessica’s House Hospice, Exeter or charity of choice would be appreciated.

So sorry to hear of Don’s passing. I am Nancy (Desjardine) Pritchard. My mother was married to Don’s dad later in their lives. There are lots of memories of the Walper family as we grew up not far from them. Condolences to all the family and extended family. A donation has been made to Jessicas House.

So sorry to hear of Don,s passing. I am the wife of Jim Desjardine who chummed with Donnie when they were young. Stayed in touch over the years and he became Jim,s step-brother when Jim,s mother married Lloyd. My father built Lloyds house on highway 21 when I was about three. So many memories there.
