Passed away peacefully at Jessica’s House, Exeter after a short battle with cancer on Monday, March 11, 2024 at the age of 78. Beloved wife of Remi for 60 years. Cherished mom of Terri and Michael, Tracy and Don, and Jeffery and Lori. Much loved grandma of Jessica and Derek, Becca; Stephen and Beth, Micheal and Jaemi, Kevin. She was a special great grandma to Maya, Ellie; Deegan, Remi; Bennett, Coleson; and would have been a wonderful great grandma to Baby Mann, expected in May. Predeceased by her parents Fred and Gladys Telford and her parents-in-law August and Elizabeth Verhoeven. She will be joining her brothers Stan, George and Roy, son-in-law Bill and great friends Karen, Sandy, and Alice.
Ramona found joy in simple pleasures. Her baking and buttertarts will be missed by many friends and family, especially her husband Remi. She had a love of gardening until her later years. Her earlier years of camping at Rainbow Valley share some of her greatest memories of fun and happiness. Her number one love was her family. She will be greatly missed.
The family would like to extend a sincere Thank You to Dr. Jadd, Dr Lam, the nurses at South Huron Hospital and all the nurses and staff at Jessica’s House for their friendship, exceptional care and compassion provided to Ramona and her family during her stay. What was expected to be a sad time had some great moments of laughter and joy. Thank
you to those that provided that joy that work at Jessica’s House. We felt loved and cared for during our time there.
Cremation has taken place. As request by Ramona, a come and go celebration of life will be held at the Crediton Community Centre, 38 Victoria Avenue East, Crediton on April 13, 2024 from 2-4 PM. In place of tears, please come and laugh and share some memories. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Jessica’s House would be appreciated by the family.
