VARLEY: Peacefully, at Queensway Nursing Home, Hensall, on Tuesday, February 6, 2001, Joseph “Joe” Varley, formerly of Exeter and Crediton, in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Marjorie (Wein) Varley (1977). Loved father of Raymond and Sandra Varley of Huron Park, Margaret and Keith Brintnell of Exeter, Marion and Bill Armstrong of Crediton. Loving grandpa of Bradley and Janet Wright, Robert and Crystal Varley, Jodi and Kevin Jones, Jeff Armstrong and Kelly and great-grandpa of Justin, Daylene, Tristan and Taylor. Loved by his nieces, nephews and their families. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Fred and Evelyn Varley of Burford, Dave and Evelyn Varley of St. Thomas, Dorothy Thompson of Parkhill, Ruth Smith of Crediton and Edward Varley of London. Predeceased by his brothers Tom, Jim and Walter Varley, sister Lavina Varley, parents Henry and Eliza (Poulton) Varley. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.; where the Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 9, 2001 at 11 a.m. Mr. Bob Heywood officiating. Interment Crediton Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated. Joe was an employee of the Township of Stephen for 30 years and then worked at Quality Produce for Earl Neil.
