Peacefully, at Bluewater Rest Home, Zurich, Alexandra Eliza (Tolfrey) Thorogood passed away on Monday, July 11, 2011 in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late George Thorogood (1984). Loved by her daughters Julia Simmons of Ipperwash Beach and Valerie (Ian) Scott-Douglas of Bayfield. Loving grandmother of 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Clara Tolfrey, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Cremation.
A celebration of her life will be held at her granddaughter’s residence, 73615 Bluewater Highway (#21 Highway), 4 km north of St. Joseph, Ont.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bluewater Rest Home Building Fund or a charity of one’s choice.
