In loving memory of Keith George Thiel of Parkhill, formerly of Zurich, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at the age of 94. Beloved husband of the late Lillian “Margaret” (Whiting) Thiel (1976). Cherished father of Jo-Ann and Brad Boswell of La Mesa, CA, Carolyn Stark of Windsor, and Randal and Karen Thiel of Parkhill. Proud grandpa of Cynthia and Michael Castellucci, Jennifer and Patrick Spiteri, Tara and Brandon Desrochers and Derek and Cassandra Thiel. Great-grandpa of Mya, Max and Noah and “Grandpa T.” to Bryson, Ian, Raya, Kohan, Pryor and Jason. Sadly missed by longtime companion Mary Anne Norland. Dear brother-in-law of Margaret Whiting, and Frank and Mary Speers. Keith will be missed by 10 nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Hugh and Eva (Weber) Thiel, sister Dorothy, brother Glen Thiel and son-in-law David Stark, sisters-in-law Dorothy (Whiting) Speers, Donna (Turnbull) Thiel and Emily (Whiting) McLachlan, brothers-in-law Jack McLachlan and Emerson Whiting, first cousin Marion (Datars) and Ron Coleman, grandparents Elizabeth (Siemon) and George Thiel and Phoebe (Debus) and Charles Weber.
Keith’s funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 11 AM with viewing from 10 AM with Pastor Nadine Schroeder-Kranz officiating. Interment St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, each person must RSVP to attend the funeral service. Please click “Register Now” below, to register.

Special thanks to South West LHIN and nurse Valerie from S E Health (St. Elizabeth) and Paramed PSWs who cared for Dad with compassionate care on a daily basis in his home, along with Dr. Samy Soliman and the staff at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital and Dr. Deborah Josephson and the Bluewater Area Family Health Team. 
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).

Did not know of Keith’s passing until June was talking to Karen in NoFrills. He was a friend of my dad Carl and my mother Marie. My father and uncle Harold were born in Zurich way back when. My parents had great times with Keith at the Green Forest in the Bend and visits at the cottage when Keith would stop by to recall old times and have cold beer or two. Thanks for the stories.
