TAYLOR: Allan “Al” Albert

TAYLOR:  Unexpectedly, but peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on Thursday, April 9, 2026, Allan “Al” Albert Taylor of Birch Bark Trailer Park, Dashwood, formerly of Wardsville, age 80.  Beloved lifetime partner of 36 years to Patricia Lynn (VonEuw) Fleming.  Loved father and father-in-law of Mary Anne and Chris Mills of Hamilton, Mike Taylor and Singing Chiang of Taiwan, Bill Taylor of Toronto, Susan Taylor of London.  Cherished grandpa of Maggie, Hannah, Ella, Nathan and Niomi.  Remembered fondly by Patricia’s children, Tarra Simpson and Paul Coull of Ayr, Jeff and Becky Fleming of Stratford, Nathan Huard and Melissa Cowan of London; grandchildren Brandon, Courtney, Colin, Miles and Zack and great-granddaughter Kenley.  Dear brother of Lynda Elson of London and brother-in-law of Pamela Atkinson of Woodstock.  Loving son-in-law of Wendy VonEuw of Stratford.  Remembered by his nieces, nephews and their families.  Al will be forever missed by his poodle companion Sassy, who was often found on Al’s lap.  Predeceased by his parents Walter and Dorothy (Knott) Taylor, brothers David Taylor and Walter Taylor, father-in-law Joseph VonEuw and brother-in-law Paul VonEuw.  At Al’s request, cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date, time and location to be announced.  Al worked as the CFO for General Coach in Hensall.  In his retirement and spare time Al loved camping, fishing and golfing, achieving the coveted Hole-In-One on the Wardsville Golf Course.  Al enjoyed a challenging Suduko and absolutely loved playing solitaire, often for hours at a time.  Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood.  If desired, memorial donations (payable directly) to the South Huron Hospital Foundation, Exeter or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

    My dear brother
When I look at this picture I see that mischievous twinkle in your eye. Growing up, I always looked forward to your outlandish tales, quick-witted sense of humour and your love of teasing. Sometimes I was your co-conspirator, many times the recipient. We went through some good and bad times together, and many quiet times. Although we haven’t spent much time together lately, it was always a comfort to me just knowing you were there. I will miss you.
