Passed away peacefully at LHSC – University Hospital, London on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at the age of 72. Cherished father of Mark Tavares (Jessica Dunlop), Rachel Tavares- Cary (Drew Hodge) and Paul (Ivonne) Tavares. Proud grandpa of Tyson and Katryna Cary, and Dexter, Ryker, Holden, and Zara Tavares. Loving partner of Katarina Sadikovic. Dear brother of Roy and Manuel Tavares. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Filipe and Ilda Tavares and his brother Carlos Tavares, and his son in law Chris Cary.
Joe was known for his inventors’ spirit; he inherited this trait from his father Filipe passing it down to his children and grandchildren. Joe was known for his passion of his career as a professional engineer dedicating his career to Honeywell International. Joe was passionate about his grandchildren spending all his free time with them often bonding over a card game, and a homecooked meal.
Cremation has taken place.

Jose never said a bad word about anybody he was very positive loving kind super sweet amazing man wonderful person and loving human being.
