Passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Ron Swartz (2011). Cherished mom of Nancy and Jim Davis, Barb Swartz-Bielek and Doug Bielek, Brenda and Steve Thomson, and Patti Swartz and Dan Regier. Proud grandma of Sarah, Todd (Gabby); Brandon (Crystal), Chad; Mandy (Greg), Billy (Danielle); and Melanie (Steve) and great-grandma of Emerson, Sophia, Aceson, Chase, Ben, Travis, Lexi, Devon, Quinlynn, Austin, and Ethan. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Gwen and Bruce Coulter, and Darlene Lightfoot. Predeceased by her parents Harold and Doris Lightfoot, her brother Don, and her sister and brother-in-law Shirley and Carl Stuckless.
Helen had a deep love for her family and found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was known for knitting beautiful afghans, lovingly made for family and friends. Life on the farm brought her happiness, especially spending time with the horses—both the spirited racehorses and her cherished quarter horses. Helen’s warmth, generosity, and devotion will be lovingly remembered.
The family would like to thank all the staff at AgeCare Parkhill for their exceptional care over the last three years.
A private family funeral service will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, Lucan. Interment St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye.
