STRAT: George Walter

STRAT:  Peacefully, at Seaforth Manor Nursing Home, Seaforth, on Thursday, October 5, 2023, George Walter Strat of Dashwood, formerly of Windsor, age 89.  Beloved companion of Lisette Bouchard.  Loved father of Terri-Anne Kibodeaux of Albuquerque, New Mexico and the late Gregory Stratula (2018).  Grandpa of Kristina and Jeffery Dornak, Atreyu John “AJ” Stratula, Cynthia Lee Stratula and Christian.  Fondly remembered by Lisette’s family daughters Joelle Deslippe and Ron Champagne, Denise Brett both of Windsor; grandchildren Holly Brett and friend Billy Manning, Blake Brett and friend Hayley Jackson.  Dear brother-in-law of Bruno Bouchard of Dashwood, Diane Dietrich of Dashwood and Mark and Sue Bouchard of Tilbury.  Remembered by Lisette’s nieces, nephews and their families.  Predeceased by his parents Walter and Mary (Smoly) Stratula, sister-in-law Sharon Bouchard and brother-in-law Willy Dietrich.  At George’s request, cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held.  Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery, Windsor.  George owned and operated the Drop In Tavern, later called Peppermints on Tecumseh Road, Windsor.  Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood.  If desired, memorial donations (payable directly) to the Alzheimer Society, ONE Care or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
