STOKKERMANS: Peacefully, at Strathmere Lodge, Strathroy, on Friday evening, September 16, 2011, Cornelius Johannes Stokkermans, age 92, formerly of RR 2, Grand Bend. Beloved husband of the late Anne Phelomena (Janssen) Stokkermans (2007). Loved father and father-in-law of Corry and Richard Wink of Peterborough, Mary and Bill VanTrigt of Owen Sound, Martin and Thea Stokkermans, Frank and Nancy Stokkermans all of RR 2, Grand Bend, John and Donna Stokkermans of Ailsa Craig. Dear brother-in-law of Angelina Backx of Grand Bend and Rev. Fr. Frank Janssen of Belgium. Remembered by his 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his son Gerard “Jerry” Stokkermans (1960), grandchildren Adam in infancy (1982), Laura (1997) and David (2010), brother Bert, sisters Adriana and Maria. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. with family and parish prayers at 8:45 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary R.C. Church, Grand Bend on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at 11 a.m. The Rev. Father Tom Donohue celebrant. Interment Pinery Cemetery, Grand Bend. If desired, memorial donations to Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital or charity of choice would be appreciated.
