March 24, 2025 By Haskett Funeral Homes 33 Condolences

STEPHEN: Judith Dianne (Kidd) of Seaforth, formerly of Toronto

Passed away at peacefully at Huron Residential Hospice, Clinton on Friday, March 21, 2025 at the age of 83. Beloved wife of Alex Stephen for 46 years. Dear sister and sister-in-law of David and Ann Kidd. Fondly remembered by her niece and nephew and her good friends Maureen, Kathryn, and Nancy. Predeceased by her parents George and Elizabeth Kidd and her sister-in-law Nancy Kidd.

Judyโ€™s adventurous spirit took her out west as a child, where she earned her pilotโ€™s license, a testament to her determination and love for new experiences. She dedicated her career to education, inspiring countless students as a teacher in Toronto and later as a supply teacher in Huron County. Her kindness, wisdom, and passion for learning touched the lives of many. Judy will be greatly missed by her family, friends, colleagues, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 390 Oxford Street West, LONDON on Monday, March 31st at 11 AM.

Donations to Huron Hospice (Clinton) in Judyโ€™s memory would be appreciated by the family.

    Dear Alex and family,

I’m so sorry about Judy’s passing and I’m thinking of you at this sad time.

Judy, old friend, you left us too soon. From the time we met when we were 15 at Thistletown High School, you were a constant and dear friend to me for almost seventy years.
And sometime in those seventy years you met and married Alex, the love of your life, and ended up living in Seaforth. A bonus for me, having you close by.
Iโ€™ll miss your wicked sense of humour, your sense of fun, your generosity, your ability to take the most ordinary occurrence and embroider the facts to make it a fascinating story and most of all, our long chats over a scotch or two.
    Goodbye. Rest well, dear friend.

Dear Alex, losing Judy is a great loss to all who knew her. I first met her in the late 1960s and we shared many adventures including taking students on a trip to Europe and Russia during Cold War days , an early adventure to the Caribbean and our infamous trip to the Middle East for a very hot summer. She was always Up for the challenges we met and never without a joke and smile. When she met you she knew she had met her life partner and it has been my pleasure to share these many years since with both of you. You have many wonderful memories to share and hopefully these will brighten the dark corners ahead.

    Alex and to Judy’s family
    Sending our sincere condolences
Judy taught me in school but I was very fortunate to be her neighbour for the last 15 yrs. Judy helped my husband and I grow the most beautiful angel trumpet plants. She loved to grow and plant flowers of all kinds. We also enjoyed a cup of tea which Alex and Judy would bring from their travels around the globe. Judy had a great sense of humour and always a kind caring heart. Judy also had the love of our golden retriever Archie, who would always be barking in their garage for his daily treats. He had her wrapped around his paw as Judy would say ” How can I not feed him, Look at those BIG brown eyes.” Our family will miss her dearly. I hope your fond memories will comfort you in this difficult time
