Peacefully, surrounded by her family at Blue Water Rest Home, on January 19, 2023 of Zurich at the age of 87. Adored wife of John Steckle for 67 years. Loved mother of Ken Steckle (Virginia) of Bayfield, Kathryn Moritz (Lloyd) of Fresno, California, Douglas Steckle of Hamilton, and Lori James (Darryl) of Saskatoon,Saskatchewan. Proud grandma of Jeremy (Tabitha), and Jeff (Jocelyn); Luke (Crystal), Jonathan (Jennifer), Andrew (Yessica); Elisabeth, and Rebecca (Lanise); Sarah and Katrina, and great grandma of Bryson, Owen, Claire, Oliver, Graham, Carter, Luke, and Kate. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Nancy Ducharme, Allen Erb (Laurie), Susan Corriveau (Paul), Bonnie Erb, Clayton Steckle (Shirley), Edward Frey, Elsie Horst, and Dave Steckle (Carol). She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Anna (Gingerich) and Emerson Erb, infant sister Lydia, brothers Lewis, and Paul, brothers-in-law Robert McKinley, Ted Ducharme, and Samuel Horst, and sister-in-law Eva Frey.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 49 Goshen Street North, ZURICH on Sunday, January 22, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Registration is required and appreciated. Please click “Register Now” below to register.
Marion’s funeral service will be held at the Kingsfield-Zurich Mennonite Church, 37818 Zurich-Hensall Road, Zurich on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 11 AM. Cremation to follow. Interment at Zurich Mennonite Cemetery will be held at a later date.
