SNELL: Unexpectedly, at LHSC, Victoria Hospital, London, on Friday, October 17, 2014, William George Snell of RR 2, Grand Bend, formerly of Exeter, Centralia and Parry Sound, age 81. Beloved husband of Peggy (Alexander) (Volland) Snell. Loved father and father-in-law of Bob and Lyn Snell of Centralia, Richard and Darlene Snell of RR 1, Dashwood, Ray Snell and companion Kathleen of Winthrop, Karen Wilson and companion Brian of RR 2, Grand Bend, Robert Volland and Sharilyn of Goderich and Angela Volland and Brian of Stratford. Loved by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Jack and Lia Snell of RR 3, Dashwood, Gary and Mary Alexander and John Alexander all of Clinton. George will be missed by his nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his brothers Gordon Snell (infant), Ray Snell, sisters Isabel Snell, Jean Smith, Norma Caldwell and parents William “Bill” and Edna (Geddes) Snell. A private family visitation was held at T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, Monday, October 20, 2014. Cremation has taken place with Interment in Exeter Cemetery. George was a licensed carpenter by trade and an avid hunter and fisherman. If desired memorials to South Huron Hospital Foundation or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
