To Betty, Barb, Jerry, and John – we send your our sympathy.
Your Mother was a very special lady who became part of our family – a second Mom to all of us Johnstone kids and a best friend of our Mother.
She was a remarkable woman with so many great strengths and talents.
I remember spending time on the farm and in particular I remember a beautiful bleeding heart plant she had growing there. To this day, each year when my own blooms, I think of Ellen.

Our condolences to each of you in the passing of your mom and grandma. Ellen was a remarkable lady who was adored by all of our family. She will always hold a special place in all of our hearts. She was like a second mom to Jim and he considered her a part of the family. She had great patience showing me how to make the hundreds of pumpkin pies as well as the lemon meringue and cream pies. Have a picture of her frying doughnuts in that hot back corner. Lots of laughs and good memories with Ellen from days gone by.
