Peacefully at South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 of Hensall at the age of 77. Loving husband of Ruth Ann (McNichol) Smale. Dear father of Brenda McGregor of Exeter and the late Jo Ann Masse (2007). Beloved son of the late William and Vera Smale. Dear grandfather of the late Ann Marie Lebold (1982), Aaron Lebold (Jessica), Scott Lebold (Kristy), Amanda Masse (Riley), Cody Morrison and Chad Morrison (Anjel). Dear great-grandfather of 5. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Betty Taylor of London, Sharon McLachlen of London, Bob and Dianne Smale of London, Barb Kruse of Stratford, Janice and Bob Baker of Stratford. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Eric and Erla Smale, sister Corrine and Ken Harrison, and brothers-in-law Wally Taylor and Marcel Duquette.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 49 Goshen Street North, ZURICH on Saturday, May 11, from 9:30-10:30 AM, where the memorial service will be held at 11 AM. Cremation with interment Bairds Cemetery, Bluewater (Stanley Township).
Donations to the South Huron Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
