1962 – 2026
David passed away peacefully with family by his side at LHSC – University Hospital as the result of a stroke on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at the age of 63. David was the son of Jeanette (Blake) Simpson and the late Keith Simpson (2021). He will be missed by his aunts and uncles; Pete Shipley (late Donna), Sharon Redick (late Wayne) and Ralph Simpson (late Joyce). He will also be missed by a number of cousins; Darren Simpson, Nancy Simpson and her children Aubrienne, Vaughn and Abbiney; Jamie Shipley, Tim and Brenda Shipley and their children Olivia, Owen and Maverick; Celia and Isaac; Shannon and Dave Manders and their children Jesse, Rachel and Layla; Blake and Guy Redick. He was predeceased by his grandparents Bill and Florence Simpson and Arnold and Lucille Blake.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN on Monday, February 16th from 9:30 – 10:30 AM, where David’s funeral service will be held at 11 AM. Spring interment St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye. David will be dressed in his favourite t-shirt, so please dress casually.
If desired, donation may be made to Villages United Church, Granton.
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).

Things he loved to tell me about-
Lucan fire trucks and when he heard the alarms go off, was always curious what cousin Tim was doing on those fire trucks, his big job of getting the recycling bins out to the road on Saintsbury. His love for the watching The Price is right, he was unsure whether he loved Drew Carey because Bob Barker was the best.
David was the sweetest soul and I truly enjoyed my time with him. I will cherish those memories.
