SIGMUND: Peacefully, at London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Hospital, Monday, August 18, 2008, Hans Jurgen Sigmund, of RR 2, Grand Bend, age 71. Loved grandfather of Jay and Colleen Shervill and their children Lauren and Lainey of Oshawa, Ryan and Chantelle Shervill and their children Emily and Hailey of Penetanguishene, John Richardson of Ottawa and Kim Murray of Oshawa. Survived also by his son Hal Sigmund of Ottawa. Dear father-in-law of Barb Richardson and dear brother-in-law of Chantal Sigmund of Belgium. Predeceased by his wife Ileane (Richardson) Sigmund (1995), step-daughter Wendy (Richardson) (Shervill) Hotson (2004), step-son Skip Richardson and brother Norbert Sigmund. Cremation/Interment St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye. A Gathering for family and friends to remember Hans will be held at the Grand Bend Legion, Branch No. 498, Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 2 p.m. If desired, memorial donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated. Hans served with the Canadian Armed Forces for over 30 years, retiring as a Master Warrant Officer. Special thanks to all his close friends for being such an important part of his life and helping him during his recent illness.
