At Clinton Public Hospital on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 of Londesborough and formerly of Germany in her 89th year. Loving wife of Juergen Schmitz for over 48 years. Fondly remembered by the Schmitz family in Germany.
A public graveside service will be held at Bairds Cemetery, 39254 Roman Road, Brucefield, on Friday, May 8th at 12 noon. A celebration of Anna’s life will be held at the Hessenland Inn, 72981 Bluewater Highway, Zurich in the afternoon on Friday, May 8th from 1-4 PM. Words of remembrance will begin at 2 PM.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ontario SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
Am Mittwoch, dem 11. Februar 2026, verstarb Anna (Bayer) Schmitz, Londesborough und ursprünglich aus Deutschland, im Alter von 89 Jahren im Clinton Public Hospital. Sie war über 48 Jahre lang die geliebte Ehefrau von Jürgen Schmitz. Die Familie Schmitz in Deutschland werden sie in liebevoller Erinnerung behalten.
Eine öffentliche Trauerfeier am Grab findet am Freitag, dem 8. Mai, um 12 Uhr mittags auf dem Bairds Cemetery, 39254 Roman Road, Brucefield, statt. Die Gedenkfeier für Anna findet am Freitag, dem 8. Mai, von 13:00 bis 16:00 Uhr im Hessenland Inn, Bluewater Highway 72981, Zurich, statt. Die Gedenkrede beginnt um 14:00 Uhr.
Die Familie bittet anstelle von Blumen um Spenden an die Kanadische Krebsgesellschaft oder den Tierschutzverein Ontario SPCA.
