SCHERRER: Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024, Sally Ann (Dahmer) Scherrer of Grand Bend and formerly of Waterloo, age 87. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Andrew Scherrer (2002). Dear mother and mother-in-law of Janet Sturgeon of Embro, Cathy Bossenberry (Michael) of Grand Bend, Cindy Doze (Robert) of Kitchener and Jo-Ann Bresele (Tom) of Waterloo. Loved and will be missed by her 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grand children and her canine pal Buddy. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Larry Dahmer (Lucille), Janice Detweiller, Betty Wendling (Herb) and Marilyn Scherrer all from the Waterloo Region. Predeceased by her son-in-law Lorne Sturgeon and her parents Verdun and Pauline (Lorentz) Dahmer. Special thank you to Sally’s health care team of Dr. Sean Ryan and nurses Joanne Kadlecik, Jane Duncan and the In-patient Unit at South Huron Hospital. A private time for her family to say good bye together was held at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood. At Sally’s request cremation will follow. A Celebration of Sally’s Life and Sharing of Memories will take place in the Common Room, 1st floor, at Grandview Apartments, 10 Summer Grove Road, Grand Bend, on Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 1 to 4 pm. If desired memorial donations (payable directly) to the Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth, the South Huron Hospital Foundation or charity of choice would be appreciated.
