SCHENK: Paul “Pete” Henry

SCHENK:  Peacefully, at Huronview Home, Clinton,  on Friday, September 29, 2023, Paul Henry “Pete” Schenk, of Huronview, formerly of Teeswater  and Crediton, age 96.  Beloved husband of the late Geraldine Ann (Dundas) Schenk (October 2, 2019).  Loved father of Howard and Fay Schenk of Owen Sound.  Dear grandpa of Amanda and Alex Rivard of Earlton, Jon and Debra Schenk, Brad Schenk and Liz Connolly all of Englehart.  Loving great-grandpa of Katelyn, Hailey, Caleb, Jaxson, Jonah, Lexi, Sawyer, Connor and Caleb. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Mildred Cronyn of Ilderton, Lorne and Shirley Dundas of Burlington, Lillian  Cowan of Peterborough, Barbara and Frank Rombough  of Stoney Creek and Barb Dundas of Crediton. Remembered by his nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents William Nelson and Katherine “Katie” C. (Pfaff) Schenk, siblings and in-laws Helen Schenk, Gerald and Rita Schenk, Gladys and Andy Beirling, Pat Cronyn, Max Cowan and Don Dundas.  A private service will be held by the Family at the Crediton Cemetery on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.  If desired, memorial donations (payable directly) to The ALS Society, Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.     T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, entrusted with arrangements.

    Howard, Faye and to all the family. I’m sorry to hear about uncle Pete. A lot of fond memories of time spent growing up around Geraldine and Pete in Crediton . Enjoyed a few visits with Pete in Clinton in the last couple years. To everyone our deepest sympathies.

    My Deepest sympathy to all Pete’s family. i really enjoyed talking to Pete and Geraldine , Pete knew my Grandfather from Crediton and Geraldine worked with my husband at DI. He loved getting the girls at work strawberries from the Mennonites. He was a great guy and he will be missed. Deb Cooper

Memorial Tree

Each year we hold a tree dedication ceremony at Morrison Dam in Exeter. We purchase a tree to be planted in memory of the lives lost from the previous year.

Our Service Coverage Area

Service AreaWe are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).

Potential Additional Transportation Fees

$150 - If transport requires more than one person, additional fee charged per person required
$150 - If transport occurs outside Mon-Fri, 9-5 business hours
