SCATCHERD: Peacefully, at his residence in Oakwood Park, surrounded by the love of his family, on Sunday, June 12, 2016, David “Dave” Alan Scatcherd, of Grand Bend, one day before his 80th birthday. Devoted and cherished husband for over 50 years of Valorie A. Clarkin Scatcherd. Loving father and father-in-law of John Labatt Scatcherd of Grand Bend, Colin Campbell Scatcherd and Shannon (Brownlee) of Komoka, Helene Marie Scatcherd Bushnell and David of Grand Bend. Treasured papa of Sydney Scatcherd, Blake Scatcherd, Trent Bushnell and Tate Bushnell. Dear brother-in-law of Robert Clarkin of Honolulu, Hawaii. Predeceased by his parents Colin Campbell and Audrey Eleanor (Farncomb) Scatcherd, sister Jane Scatcherd, father-in-law and mother-in-law John P. and Helen “Lola” Clarkin. At David’s request, cremation has taken place. A Private Family Service will be held at St. John’s-by-the-Lake Anglican Church, Grand Bend. Rev. Lynn Mitchell Officiating. A Celebration of Life for Family and Friends will take place at the Oakwood Resort, Terrace Room on Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 2 to 5 p.m. with words of Remembrance and Sharing at 3 p.m. If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to Community Living – South Huron, Community Living – London or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
