Gratefully at home with his wife by his side on December 17, 2024 at the age of 91. Loving husband of Sylvia Wagner. Fondly remembered by Katherine Chinnick, Eugene Peche, and family members and old friends. Predeceased by his grandson Brendan Safr.
Born in Plzeň, Czechoslovakia, he began his life as a talented singer and actor in the prestigious theater. He enjoyed sharing his musical gift by performing in the national choir and bands alongside his brother John. Faced with the challenges of communism, Karl and John’s family bravely devised a plan to escape, eventually settling in London, Ontario where he found work as a sign painter and gym manager. His love for performing never waned and he continued to share the stage with his brother, delighting audiences across southwestern Ontario. In Goderich, he will be fondly remembered for his towering height, striking white hair, and his beautiful smile.
Following Karl’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
