Peacefully, at Niagara Arms Retirement Hotel and Residence, St. Catharines on Friday, September 2, 2005, Ruth (Mitchell) Ellwood of St. Catharines and formerly of Exeter in her 101st year. Beloved wife of the late John Ellwood (1970). Dear mother of Bob Ellwood (Betty) of St. Catharines and Don Ellwood (Sue) of Ottawa. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by daughter Carolyn (1936), brother Jack Mitchell and his wife Isabell. Friends may call at the Hopper Hockey Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 west of Main, Exeter one hour prior to the funeral service which will be held on Wednesday, September 7th at 11 a.m. with Rev. Paul Ross officiating. Interment Exeter Cemetery, Exeter. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
