RUNDLE: Scott Allan of Bayfield

February 3, 2025 By Haskett Funeral Homes 91 Condolences

RUNDLE: Scott Allan of Bayfield

Scott passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at the age of 61. Cherished partner of Bonnie Baynham. Loving brother of Lisa Rundle and uncle of Megan. Predeceased by his parents Allan and Marlene (Eagleson) Rundle. Scott will be missed by many close friends who he loved spending time with. Scott always measured his personal success not by material things, but by working at being the best son, brother, uncle, husband, friend and millwright that he could be. Mr. Rundle can be proud and comforted that he accomplished what he set out to do, to be the person he wanted to be and to be loved by those around him.

A proud Usborne boy, Scott was an intelligent, gentle soul filled with love, kindness, humor and just the right amount of mischief. Scott was deeply loved by his family, his large circle of friends and past coworkers. People were drawn to his radiant yet humble personality along with his wide bright smile, silky voice and big warm laugh. There was no friend more loyal and compassionate than Scott. He was passionate in everything he did and always took great pride in a job well done.

Scott made the world a better place. He enriched and influenced many lives around him. There will be decades of “Scotty” stories for friends to share amongst themselves, beautiful stories that will bring smiles, laughter and tears to those that loved him. A lasting gift he gave us all.

A wonderful man who will not be forgotten.

A come and go celebration of Scottโ€™s life will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Thursday, February 6th from 6 โ€“ 8 PM. Cremation with a private interment at Exeter Cemetery.

Donations in his memory may be made to United Way Perth Huron, Bayfield Area Food Bank, South Huron Hospital Foundation or an animal rescue of your choice.

    Bonnie and Lisa,
The heart-breaking news of Scott’s sudden death is exemplary of how fragile our time on earth is, even for giants, and men of character. He was gifted with a gracious modesty that was genial and charismatic. In Scott’s presence there was no one else in the room except who he was speaking to. He gave so generously of himself. Scott was a man among men, and a legend among friends.
Our heat-felt condolences in your darkest hour and know that Love, like moonbeams, is not something you can hold, it resides deep in the heart and is already forever yours.
    In Love & Light,

Scott had a lot of interests but not enough time to do everything he wanted. He was artistic and good with tools and I realize right away that he had a good sense of humor. He caught me by surprise on the phone one day last year asking for a commercial fountain nozzle for his back yard. I told him that I’d draw up a plan for him to review and approve. His health had other plans and it wasn’t a surprise that his body couldn’t repair itself after all he’d gone through. He welcomed me into his home and was kind to me every time we met. May he rest in peace.
