Thinking about you Bob as you and your family grieve your loss. I had a feeling when you were last here that you were preparing yourself. WIsh there was a way I could just massage away all the grief. but it just don’t work that way though it can bring a measure of comfort. Take care………..Sandra Schroeder

Bob and family, News of Bobbie’s passing brought much sadness and tears as I read these lovely tributes. Bobbie’s Guiding leadership inspired so many young gals and left a lasting legacy to do our best. I recall how privileged we felt when we formed an honour-guard outside Trivitt on their wedding day. Every February 22nd, Guiding birthday, I phoned Bobbie to thank her, I will miss that.
I am now living in Vancouver, and echoing Linda Johnston Henderson’s words, “Rest in peace Captain Bobbie” May God give each of you strength and comfort in these coming days.
    Blessings, Shirley

  14. Linda Johnston Henderson

    January 4, 2012 at 1:34 AM

To the Luxton Family…Guiding was such an important part of so many girls’ lives in Exeter. I personally lived for every Thursday night at 7 when the Guides met at the Scout Hall with Bobbi as our Captain. She instilled in all of us …once a Guide, always a Guide. These values are engrained in our lives even today. Camp Keewaydin, Mother and Daughter banquets, hikes in all seasons, Hot Cross bun sales, November 11th parades , Gold Cord Ceremonies, the celebration of 40 years of Guiding in Exeter are only a few memories of Bobbi for me. All of “Bobbi’s Girls” have lost a very special role model, and friend with her passing.

I especially liked the write up with a quote from Lord Baden Powell…how appropriate .

I am currently in Vancouver and will be unable to attend the service. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time.

    Rest in Peace,Captain……Linda Johnston Henderson
