
RASTONIS: Peacefully, at Bluewater Health, Sarnia, on Saturday, June 11, 2016, Ignas “Iggy” Gintautas Rastonis, of Port Franks, age 88. Beloved husband of Ursula Erika (Fuhrmann) Rastonis. Loved father and father-in-law of Michelle Farkas and Michael Butler of Austin, TX, Peter Rastonis and Beth Einwechter of Stratford. Cherished bubba of Zachary Farkas and Monique Farkas. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Jone and Martin Dode of Maryland, Skirmas Rastas of Florida, Jane Rastas of Wisconsin, Guenther and Krista Fuhrmann of Embro, Annie Fuhrmann of London. Remembered by his special niece Angelika “Angey” Lewis of Northville, as well as many other nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Pranas and Juzé (Ivanautskaite) Rastapkevicius, brother Vitus Rastas. At Iggy’s request, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood. In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to the Alzheimer Society of Huron County would be appreciated.

I first met iggy in the summer of 1986 when I met their daughter Michelle…/ I must say that iggy and Ursula we’re important people to me back then and I was able to Join the OPP because of them…. I am forever grateful for that….. Iggy was an amazing man and I am a better person for having met him…. I learned a lot from him and I cherish the memories of him and his wife Ursula
