RAITHBY: Peacefully, with family, at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia, Tuesday, March 23, 2010, Zoie Helene (Hughes) Raithby of Woodland Gardens, Southcott Pines, Grand Bend, age 74. Beloved wife of Earle Kenneth Corbett and the late Dr. Mark William Raithby (2001). Loved mother of Scott and Carol Lynn Raithby of Fall River, NS, Wade and Deborah Raithby of Courtney, BC, Laura Raithby of London, ON. Also Mom to Carolina Tapia of Toronto and Maribell Padilla of Venezuela. Nanny to her grandchildren Jordan, Sidney, Christopher, Heather and Lisa. Great-grandmother of Emma and Kaydan. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Bev and Faye Hughes of Red Deer, AB, Doug and Elaine Hughes of Prince George, BC, Elizabeth Jelly of Peoria, IL, and Nancy Raithby of Mississauga, ON. Remembered by her nieces, nephews and their families. Aunt Zoie to Earle’s children Randall and Margelia Corbett, Zoie and Sam Tassone, Brent Corbett, Lisa and Paul Mason and their families. Predeceased by her brothers-in-law Dr. Gerald Jelly, Jack Raithby and long-time friend Jean Corbett. Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Grand Bend United Church, on Palm Sunday, March 28, 2010 at 2 p.m. The Rev. Harry Disher officiating. A time of fellowship and sharing will follow at the Southcott Pines Clubhouse, on Lakeview Ave. If desired, memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, the Grand Bend United Church New Building Fund or charity of choice would be appreciated.
