POPLAR: At London Health Sciences Centre, University Campus, London, on Wednesday, January 17, 2001, Charles Edward “Ted” Poplar of Grand Cove Estates, Grand Bend, formerly of Oakville and Brantford, in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Wanda H. (Pizer) Poplar and the late Helen M. (Brenzil) Poplar (1987). Loving father of Mary Lee and Bill Simpson of Toronto, Ted Poplar, Jr. and Sandy of Markham, Brenda Poplar and Tom Dinsmore, Marg Clarke, Jeanne and Bob Hankinson all of Brantford, Jayne and Bill Warren of Toronto, Betty and Al Macdonald of Wyevale, Tom Poplar of Brantford, Stephen and Kathy Poplar, Sharon and Kevin Hyde all of Oakville. Also loved by his step-children Barbara and Stewart McLeod of Hong Kong, Robert and Mary Pizer of Ajax. Fondly remembered by his many grandchildren. Dear brother of Nancy and Marcel Smith of Hamilton. A Memorial Service will be held at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood (519-237-3532) on Friday, January 19, 2001 at 11 a.m. The family invites you to join them for a “Celebration of Ted’s Life” on Saturday, January 20, 2001 from 1 – 4 p.m. at the Northridge Golf Course, 320 Balmoral Drive, Brantford, Ontario. Cremation with spring interment Sinclairville United Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Cancer Society or charity of choice would be appreciated.
