Passed away peacefully at Craigwiel Gardens, Ailsa Craig, on Friday, November 7, 2025, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Gerald Pierce (2025) for 53 years. Cherished sister-in-law of Blair Pierce and Barbara Decker Pierce of Calgary, and Judy and Paul Miller of Arnprior. Joy will be dearly missed by her nieces.
Joy was a gifted artist who shared her creativity and passion with countless students over the years. She was also an avid photographer, capturing the beauty of the world around her through her lens. Joy had a deep love for animals and cared for many throughout her life, including dogs, cats, a horse, and even miniature donkeys. Together, Joy and Gerry shared a spirit of adventure, traveling across Canada and around the world to experience the wonder and beauty of nature.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN on Tuesday, November 18, from 3 – 5 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario or The Nature Conservancy of Canada would be appreciated by the family.

Our sincere condolences to the Gerry and Joy Pierce families on the loss of Joy and recent loss of Gerry. We spent many happy hours visiting with them both while they lived in Arkona and later in Coldstream. Joy was a talented artist and photographer and we always admired her work. We always found so may topics of interest to discuss with them both that our visits were most enjoyable. We will miss their company.
