PEPPER, Olive Joan:
September 23, 2023, Olive Joan Alice (Vaughan) Pepper 96, of London, passed away peacefully at University Hospital, surrounded by love. Not long after the sun had set, Olive was guided to heaven to be with Fred, Nan, and their dogs, who had been patiently waiting to see her again.
Dear wife of the late, Allan Frederick โFredโ Pepper. Proud and grateful mum of David Howard and daughter-in-law Sue Howard, cherished grandma of Stephanie Grozelle (Dan) and Jake Ruddy (Kyrianna). Olive was a loving nana to her great-grandchildren Sophie, Gavin and Andrew Grozelle. Olive will be affectionately remembered by her step-son, the late Randy Pepper (MaryAnn Jansen), step-daughter Leanne Pepper (Tim Belanger), her wonderful friends, neighbours, nieces, nephews and their families. She is predeceased by her parents Frank and Amy โNanโ Vaughan, and Davidโs father, Cecil โCyโ Howard. Olive will also be greatly missed by her special feline companion, Sammy.
Olive enjoyed spending time with her lovely friends and family, especially if it involved telling stories, going out for lunch at her favourite restaurants, or looking for flowers for the upcoming season. At the age of 96, Olive was still feeding the birds and squirrels, watering her geraniums, and making sure her loved ones were in good health. Olive will always be remembered for her classy outfits, stylish jewellery, and of course, that perfect hair and makeup. Oliveโs tenacity was admired by anyone who met her and one can only hope to be so independent up until their final days.
A Celebration of Oliveโs Life will be held at Boler Mountain, 689 Griffith St, London, on Friday, September 29th from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. An interment will take place at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, 2001 Dundas St, London, ON, at 1:00 pm, where Olive will join Fred and Nan in her final resting place. Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the 5th floor Cardiology staff and the Palliative Care team at University Hospital for their care and compassion for Olive. In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Canada, Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.

Saddened to hear of Ollie’s passing.
I met Ollie and Fred in 1990 along with their 2 German Sheppards’ when they lived in Delaware, well before Fred’s passing.
I often met with Ollie at her Condo in London and we had a nip of Rum & Coke while reviewing her investments and insurance.
Ollie always reminded me of my own Mum.
Going to miss her – RIP Ollie.
