January 29, 2026 By Haskett Funeral Homes 27 Condolences

PARKINSON: Aaron Brian of London

Passed away in London as a result of a brief and sudden illness, on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at the age of 50. Cherished father of Brooke, Ben, and Alexander (AJ). Aaron will be greatly missed by his mother Emily, his sister Alyson, and his niece and nephews; Max, Jackson, and Paige. Lovingly remembered by the Dykeman and Parkinson Families. Predeceased by his father Brian, and his step-father Wes. Forever remembered by his friend Cathy, and his life-long friends, Tom, Ian, Geoff, Shane, Andrew, Scott, Darell, and Dunbar.

Aaron was a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, history buff and avid Coca-Cola drinker. He had an infectious sense of humour and met everyone with a smile.

โ€œSparkyโ€ was so proud of his 30 years of service to his country. He was a valued member of the 31st  Service Battalion. He made a huge impact, and made many friendships during his years of service.

Until Valhalla!

A celebration in honour of Aaronโ€™s life will be held on Saturday, January 31 from 2 – 4 PM at CFB London, 701 Oxford Street East, in the Junior Ranks Mess Hall.

Memorial donations may be made in his honour to Solider On, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of your choice.

Deepest condolences for the loss of Sparky. Served with him at 31 for a few years. He was the life blood of that unit. It was an honor and privilege serving along side of him. Gone to soon.

I have known Aaron since his tasking in Blackdown 1998. Over the years we continued to cross paths and in summer of 2012 spent much of our free time as group hang out – laughing and joking. He will be so missed by many people

Sparky served in Bosnia with my Dad, and then my daughter, Claire, had the privilege of working with him decades later when she joined the CAF in London.

I didnโ€™t get to know him as well as I wouldโ€™ve liked, but I want his children to know how much he loved them. I know that they know, but he loved them so deeply that he told me about how incredible they are and I am essentially a stranger to him.

He reached out often to tell me how proud he was of my own daughter, what a wonderful person she was and how well she was doing in her new role. He was her biggest cheerleader and I always knew she was in good hands because he had her back. Iโ€™m so thankful for his support during what was a stressful time for her, while she found her footing in her new career.

The world has lost a good one, Iโ€™m so sorry to everyone who loves Sparky who will feel his loss so deeply.
